2022 Porsche Taycan vs. 2022 Lexus LS Series

The 2022 Porsche Taycan, the German automaker’s first all-electric car, and the 2022 Lexus LS Series, one of the best luxury sedans in its class, are two very different cars. In this article, we’ll go over their main differences and try to determine which one is better based on those differences.

Design & Style

  • Exterior Design

The two models are similar in many ways—but there are also some differences between them!

The 2022 Lexus LS Series is one of the most popular sedans on the market today because of its stylish exterior and luxurious interior. This model comes equipped with LED headlights, LED tail lights and LED daytime running lights for optimal visibility while driving at night or during inclement weather conditions such as heavy rain or snowfall.

The LS Series takes a very traditional approach to its exterior appearance: there are sleek curves all around this vehicle’s distinctive silhouette; chrome accents on its grille help give it an extra touch of elegance; and overall it looks much like many other luxury cars on the road today—only bigger! This means there isn’t much uniqueness in terms of how this model looks compared with others available now or even compared with past versions made by Lexus themselves!

  • Interior Design

It’s in the interior design that the 2022 Porsche Taycan and the 2022 Lexus LS Series are most similar. Both models are spacious, both offer rich materials throughout their interiors and both have great infotainment systems with plenty of features to make your drive more enjoyable.

Both cars also come standard with a touchscreen display as well as front and rear cameras for assistance in parking, lane changing and other functions. These cameras are also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allow you to access your smartphone functions while driving (this can be a distraction).

Technology & Safety

The 2022 Porsche Taycan has a lot more technology and safety features than the 2022 Lexus LS Series. It’s packed with high-tech innovations like self-driving capabilities and advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist and rear cross traffic alert. The 2022 Lexus LS Series has these too but they’re not as advanced or powerful as those in the 2022 Porsche Taycan.

Performance

The 2022 Porsche Taycan offers two engine options: a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine and an electric motor. The petrol mill is an evolution of the base 918 Spyder’s 4.6-liter V8, but it now produces 600 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque thanks to its turbochargers. Electric power comes courtesy of two electric motors that produce a total output of 402 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft., one at each axle for AWD capability (a rear-wheel drive variant will be available, too).

The 2022 Lexus LS Series offers just one engine: a 4 liter twin turbocharged V8 producing 500 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft., mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters mounted on the steering column or steering wheel depending on whether you’re in front or rear wheel drive configuration

The Bottom Line

With all the data and information presented above, it’s clear that the 2022 Porsche Taycan is a better car than the 2022 Lexus LS Series. This doesn’t mean that you should buy one over the other—it’s simply meant to help you make an informed decision about which model would suit your lifestyle and needs best.
