Design & Style
The Lamborghini Aventador retains the razor sharp appearance that the brand has become famous for. Technology & Safety
Unlike most super and hyper cars, which don’t bother to include driver assistance, every Taycan comes with emergency automatic brakes, frontal impact alerts and lane management. Buyers can also get stop and go, night vision and even the ability to park the vehicle via remote control, a feat that was once considered science fiction. Its cabin perks include Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, eleven inch touch displays, HVAC, powered seats that are ventilated and covered in leather with climate control.
The Lamborghini Aventador has zero driver assistance despite costing more than most American houses. This is a significant weakness that puts it at a severe disadvantage against the Porsche. Furthermore, its infotainment is outdated, with graphics that are considered passé and integration which is awkward. It does offer Apple CarPlay, voice commands and a data recorder, but little else.
Performance
The Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a V12 engine that is 6.5 liter, naturally aspirated and capable of generating 769 horsepower with the ability to blaze from zero to sixty in 2.7 seconds. Those that purchase the Porsche Taycan Turbo S will get electric motors capable of generating 750 horsepower with the ability to accelerate from zero to sixty in 2.4 seconds.
The Bottom Line
When compared to the Porsche Taycan, the Lamborghini Aventador is overrated and overpriced. It seats half the passengers, offers no driver assistance, has less cargo space, uses obsolete infotainment, and only has a fuel economy of 11 mpg while the Taycan has a fuel economy of 75 MPGe, which makes Porsche the winner.
