Design & Style
The 2022 Jaguar I-PACE is a much better-looking car than the Taycan. It has a more elegant design, with smooth lines and curves that flow gracefully around its body. The front end of the vehicle has been designed to look like an Aston Martin, which gives it a very sleek appearance to match its fast performance capabilities.
The 2022 Porsche Taycan has some sharp lines but it doesn’t have the same level of elegance that you would expect from a Porsche sports car or SUV.
They both also have similar wheel sizes—20-inch alloys on both versions of the Porsche Taycan (base and Turbo), while 18-inch wheels come standard on the Jaguar I-PACE. And each car’s grille is big enough to swallow up a small child (or maybe even two).

You’ll find more advanced safety features in the Porsche Taycan than in the Jaguar I-PACE. The Porsche Taycan has a headlight system that uses active light functions to automatically adjust beam control depending on driving conditions, vehicle speed and ambient light. It also includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane assist, which helps keep you centered in your lane when driving at highway speeds.
The Porsche Taycan is available with an optional Surround View Camera System with Side View Assist that helps you navigate around obstacles when parking or pulling out of tight spots. The system will even hold the steering wheel for you while parallel parking!
Performance
The Taycan has a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds, and its top speed ranges from 155 to 174 mph depending on whether you opt for the base model or Turbo version. That’s impressive for an electric car, and it puts the Taycan in the same performance tier as Tesla’s Model S P100D (3.4 seconds).
Meanwhile, the I-PACE boasts a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds, which is respectable but not quite as quick as its German competitor. Its top speed is also lower—136 mph—though that shouldn’t be much of an issue if your driving style involves staying within city limits anyway.
The Bottom Line
The bottom line is that the Porsche Taycan and Jaguar I-PACE are two great electric cars with very different personalities.
