The 2020 Porsche Taycan and the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace are two extremely different vehicles that couldn’t be more different. The Taycan is a luxury sedan with electric capability, while the F-Pace is a crossover SUV with similar capability under its hood. Which one would you rather drive?
Design & Style
The Porsche Taycan is an attractive sports car. It’s sleek, it has curves and angles and lines that are all pleasing to the eye. The Jaguar F-Pace, on the other hand? Not so much. If you were asked to describe the exterior design of the F-Pace in one word, we’d suggest “boring.” If you were asked to describe your feelings about that word in one sentence: “You know what? I’m okay with boring.”
That said, there’s no denying that if these two cars were parked together on a street corner for long enough for people to notice them (or park next to each other at work), most would choose the Porsche over its British competitor—even if they preferred driving around in something else every day of their lives!
The 2022 Porsche Taycan has a much more stylish interior design. The driver’s seat is angled slightly toward the windshield and the passenger seat is angled slightly away from the windshield, which allows both occupants to see out of their respective windows in a more natural way than would be possible if they were facing forward. The dashboard is also much higher than you’d expect in a car of this size, which makes it easier to see over other vehicles on the road. This gives you an advantage when changing lanes or entering highways or parking garages where there’s lots of congestion!
The Jaguar F-Pace has its own unique interior design that will keep you entertained for hours! The steering wheel features three buttons on each side that allow for easy access to any function within your vehicle—whether it’s climate controls or music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music or Google Play Music—all from one place instead of having two separate devices inside your car like most people do today!
Technology & Safety
The 2022 Porsche Taycan has better technology. The car comes with a Porsche Connect system that includes apps, internet access and music streaming. You can even use it to remotely control your home’s heating and lighting systems so you can adjust them while you’re away in your car. There are also 14-speaker Bose audio system, touchscreen displays in front and rear, keyless entry (no more fumbling for keys), a WiFi hotspot that supports up to eight devices at once, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility (which means you can connect your phone through the dashboard screen) and adjustable thigh support for the driver’s seat.
The Jaguar F-Pace doesn’t have nearly as many features as the Taycan does (or at least it doesn’t come standard). There’s no Wi-Fi hotspot capability or navigation system on any trim level — these are available options for an extra fee. In fact, Jaguar would prefer that you buy their electric vehicle instead of a gas version of their SUV because they think EVs will be cheaper to maintain over time (it’s true!).
Performance
The Taycan boasts more power than any other electric car on sale today, but also boasts far superior battery capacity at 80 kWh compared to 40 kWh for most other EVs (and 60 kWh for certain Teslas). The battery pack provides enough energy for 280 miles of range according to official EPA ratings. You’ll have to plug in your Jaguar F-Pace every three hours or so if you want enough juice to get where you’re going without stopping along the way—the EPA gives that SUV an estimated range of only 240 miles per charge with both engines equipped with all options checked off.
The Bottom Line
The 2022 Porsche Taycan has a much better interior design than the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace. It also has a more powerful engine and better technology. Overall, these are just some of the many reasons why I would choose to buy the Porsche over the Jaguar.
