The German automaker has been building some of the world’s most storied luxury sedans for decades, so it’s no surprise that when they decided to make a sedan based on an existing model from another brand, they decided to go with one of their own.
Design & Style
The Panamera is a striking car. It has the classic proportions of an old-school sports car but with modern styling cues and details. The Q70 is a bit more reserved but still makes for a handsome family sedan by modern standards. It also has adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality as well as a collision mitigation braking system that will automatically brake if necessary, when another vehicle is detected ahead at a distance between 1-30 meters away from you at speeds between 0-110 km/h (0 – 68 mph).
Performance
The 2022 Porsche Panamera’s V6 twin-turbo engine is rated at 325 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. The 2022 Infiniti Q70’s twin-turbo V6 is rated at 330 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Even though Infiniti’s engine has a higher rating, there isn’t a huge difference between the two cars because it also weighs more than the Porsche by about 500 pounds. This extra weight will affect how fast this car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h).
The Bottom Line
The 2022 Porsche Panamera is the better car overall, thanks to its better driving dynamics and more upscale interior. It also has a lower starting price than the 2022 Infiniti Q70, which means it’s a better value for your money.
