The McLaren 765LT has a long tailed body that is sharp and so pleasing to look at. A rear wing can be seen in back, with an extended diffuser. Its infotainment consists of eight inch touchscreens which are vertically oriented and positioned in the central stack. However, the engine is so loud that it is difficult to listen to music or enjoy other multimedia activities.
Performance
The McLaren 765LT is a fighter jet on wheels. It comes with a dual turbo V8 engine that is 4 liter and capable of generating 754 horsepower with 590 pounds of torque, which is wedded to a dual clutch seven speed transmission that allows it to go from zero to sixty in 2.7 seconds. Those who purchase the Porsche 911 Turbo S will be able to generate 640 horsepower with 590 pounds of torque, which enables it to accelerate from zero to sixty in just 2.6 seconds, with a 205 mph maximum speed.
The Bottom Line
Like most super cars, the McLaren 765LT sacrifices everything for speed. It only seats two passengers, lacks many safety features found in lesser cars, and has weak infotainment, and yet it still doesn’t surpass the Porsche 911, which seats twice as many passengers yet matches the McLaren in top speed and acceleration, making it the winner.
